India...........aha

The source for this is not me. I just copied it from somewhere(including the comments at the bottom). Just thought of sharing it with my group.

Salary & Govt. Concessions for a Member of Parliament
(MP)

Monthly Salary : 12,000
Expense for Constitution per month : 10,000
Office expenditure per month : 14,000

Traveling concession (Rs. 8 per km) : 48,000 (For a
visit to Delhi & return: 6000 km)

Daily BETA during parliament meets : 500

Charge for 1 class (A/C) in train : Free (For any
number of times)
(All over India)

Charge for Business Class in flights : Free for 40
trips / year
(With wife or P.A.)

Rent for MP hostel at Delhi : Free

Electricity costs at home : Free up to 50,000 units

Local phone call charge : Free up to 1,70,000 calls.

TOTAL expense for a MP per year : 32,00,000

TOTAL expense for 5 years : 1,60,00,000

For 534 MPs, the expense for 5 years : 8,54,40,00,000
(nearly 855 cores)
And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, by the
largest democratic process
in the world, not intruded into the parliament on
their own or by any qualification.
This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and
price hike on our regular commodities.......
Think of the great democracy we have.............

On seeing the article, I was tempted to make a search on internet and came across the above article. It was really a good sarcastic article on the MP's. Please do take a look.

To think that we are spending a whopping 170 crores of visible expenditure on our honorable member of Parliaments, I now understand why we have many uneducated people at power.

Instead of saying "God save India", I prefer to say "Let us save India"

Nature's Beauty (Kandy - Botanical Gardens)

It was a rainy day where you could reach for the clouds. The beauty of the nature was in full bloom. Though i spend only 2-3 hrs here, the memories will remain deep within for a long long time.

Complaining abour your life......??? Think again

Just an idea of how lucky we are. We are all blessed and we could help out the people in need and give them back their future.

Lanka - the preview

I was travelling home in a Trishaw(Auto in simple) after another hectic day of meetings all day. Happy about my friend has joined me back in office after 5 days of vacation. We were talking our usual stuff about the updates of office during last week.
The auto was stopped by the military. They check the lisence or even the identity of the passengers. The police dont chase the vehicles here. They have a stop board in their hand and the vehicle stops in no time. Discpline is the order of the day on roads. People stick to the lanes, 1st preference to the pedestrains, no walking on roads, only footpath is used. No vendors blocking the roads. Definately stop on Red signal.

The Trishaw stopped at an Petrol bunk, and i was not so happy about it as it was already a long day and i wanted to reach home at the earliest (Need to go home, cook and then eat and sleep). The auto driver asked me about the price of petrol in India, when i told him he was amazed saying so cheap. I didnt bother as i told him price in INR and i thought he was comparing it with LKR rate. He immediately asked me about the exchange rate for the 2 currencies. He knows the reason for the exchange differences. He understands the economic differences between the two countries.

It rained heavily for continous 3-4 days last week. No sign of water pools on main roads. Vehicles move with ease even in rains.

Probably the only difference is discpline and very less population compared to India.

Good days ahead with this country.
