The source for this is not me. I just copied it from somewhere(including the comments at the bottom). Just thought of sharing it with my group.

Monthly Salary : 12,000
Expense for Constitution per month : 10,000
Office expenditure per month : 14,000

visit to Delhi & return: 6000 km)

And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, by the
largest democratic process
in the world, not intruded into the parliament on
their own or by any qualification.
This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and
price hike on our regular commodities.......
Think of the great democracy we have.............
On seeing the article, I was tempted to make a search on internet and came across the above article. It was really a good sarcastic article on the MP's. Please do take a look.
To think that we are spending a whopping 170 crores of visible expenditure on our honorable member of Parliaments, I now understand why we have many uneducated people at power.
Instead of saying "God save India", I prefer to say "Let us save India"

Jayashree,

Happy New Year to all.
Dina
never thought of it this way. my generation now i feel is all talk no work. we always like to blame it on the government and spend hours sitting in an upscale new york apartment with all the "luxurious" (can be termed as by a section of our indian population even if not recognzed by some of us) amenities talking about what is wrong with our nation and what improvements can be made but less of us would actually want to get our hands and feet dirty in the murk politics and less of us do even though we say "Let us save India"
Tiya,
Thanks for dropping by. I agree to your comment. It holds good with the masses. There are always few exceptions and it slowly needs to become the rule. I am not a great leader to change the society overnite. With my limitations, i am doing my part of it.
Thanks for your comment again.
Dina

hmmm ya.. was off for some time. back to grounds. I am a person who is so lively and suddenly go into cave to bring the livelness. was in cave for some time.
the cave is some where inside ourself. it has lot of energy in silence . It will be wary of people and is a serene place. For many it haunts for few it rejunivate.
You should check out the expenses of our MP's here in UK! travel costs etc are just stupidly ridiculous
i differ from you, dina on happiness. it is a mirage and an addiction. Happiness is somthing that is non descriptive. yet it cant be ever achieved , it seems to follow but we run towards it. it is a mirage that it follows, i believe in content. not happiness.
